COOPERATING IN THE WORKPLACE

 

With the increasing diversity of working environment, development of our behavioral and organizational skills is significant. Cooperation within the workplace is important as there exist various departments and sections which make an organization.Environment of the workplace has the ability to bring revolutionary changes in the organization. It is the sole responsibility of the management to make policies to promote cooperation among the employees having diverse attitudes and behaviors.

Cooperation within the workplace has a lot advantages as if an individual possesses some skills that the other individual intend to learn then he can get help from that individual possessing that skill and they can build their work relationship. By collaborating, they can prove to be an asset for their organization.

Furthermore, if an organization lacks employee collaborations and communication that can lead to drastic problems like time wastage and poor performance. When they won’t interact, they will have vague idea of different dimensions of work. In this way, they will spend more time on unnecessary work dimensions instead of putting their real efforts in the work that actually requires to be done.

Change in our everyday lives brings new opportunities to dismantle archaic systems, to reinvent and recharge ourselves. The 2020 COVID-19 crisis triggered an urgent need to examine yet again, how people can interact successfully in organizations. For this reason, the expanded third edition focuses on how leaders and employees in a diverse and global working environment can cooperate harmoniously; especially, during crisis situations. Knowledge, organizational skills, and behavior need to be developed. Communication and teamwork skills, necessary to reach a common goal, must be improved.

For management team, talking about motivation is an easy task but to make an individual perform their best is a hard nut to crack. Due to diversity of employees, things which motivate them will have diversity in its nature. Management team needs to have knowledge of what their employees want and it cannot be achieved without collaboration between them.

When an organization lacks positive competition then negative competition arises there in severe forms like rumors among employees about other employees which effects the workplace environment badly and prosperity scale of organization starts moving towards downwards. Employees intend to leave the organization having negative environment or competition. Negative workplace environment can lead employees to have psychological issues which leads to inefficiency of individuals. The purpose of this book is to start you on your journey towards making you aware and skillful in navigating the workplace environment. Since working together with other individuals and management team is the spur for success, this book helps you to understand how to communicate and collaborate effectively with other co-workers, supervisors and management to pave your ways towards success. In addition to that, my experience in practical as well as theoretical will help the reader gain those golden nuggets that can help them get out of the chaotic situations.
